Installing Android Studio on Mac Os
  • Mac OS X 10.8.5 or higher, up to 10.9 (Mavericks).
  • 2 GB RAM minimum, 4 GB recommended.
  •  400 MB hard disk space.
  • At least 1 GB for Android SDK, emulator system images and caches.
  • 1280 x 800 minimum screen resolution.
  • JRE (Java Run time Environment) 6.
  • JDK (Java Development Kit) 7.
  • Optional for accelerated emulator: Intel processor with support for Intel VT-x, Intel EM64T (Intel 64), and execute disable (XD) Bit functionality.
  • Download and install JDK.
  • Android Studio IDE.
  • Android SDK (Software Development Kit).
  • Android 5.0 (Lollipop) platform.
  • Android 5.0 emulator system image with Google API's.
  • Launch the .dmg file, and drag Android Studio to Applications folder.
  • Open Android Studio and follow the setup wizard.
  • If it is damaged select security settings System preferences->Security and privacy->General->Allow apps downloaded from->Anywhere
  • First open the SDK manager Tools->Configure->SDK Manager.
  • Install Android SDK Tools.
  • Android SDK platform Tools.
  • Android SDK Build Tools.
  • Intel x86 Atom System Image.
  • Android Support Repository.
  • Android Support Library.
  • Google API's.
  • Google Repository.
  • Google Play services.


In this tutorial we will learn how to install Android Studio on Mac Os with easy steps. Before going to installing first we need to consider the requirements of the Android Studio to be installed.
